Mimas tiliae, found it at the wall of the house of our vicar when I was bringin post. When I was done with the post, I went back to his house and asked him if I could take a picture of it.  We were both surprised of the beauty of the moth on the wall, because that was what it was. This is just a picture of it, but you should have seen it in real life. It must have been a "fresh" one, because the wings were pretty neat, when they get older they start to show signs of damage really quickly. Funny thing is, it's scientific name is Mimas tiliae, because it lives from Tilia treas (one of my favourite kind of trees), while the Dutch name for the moth is lindepijlstaart, and linde is also the Dutch word for Tilia trees.  They also live on Birch trees, which are quite abundant where I found it. So I guess it must have been living on one of those trees when it was a caterpillar.

I'm sorry, it seems that somehow I have made the text really big and I don't know how to make it smaller . That's why it will stay big, I guess we'll just have to learn how to live with that.
